Church doing it's typical anime things

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

The “Church is evil” trope persists, I see…^^;

LowJack187 • 1 year ago

It's not a trope, it's fact!

"Fear Is A Great Weapon, That's Why The Church Created Hell"

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Pope's had so much power they were over kings and they used that power for various atrocities from killing and dictating their own people to killing cats even. Shakesphere can only give you a glimpse of this by showing you that Hamlet's father's death made him go to hell because a priest didn't remove his sins before he died. This actually was part of the medieval belief. They used their religion to not only take over 1 continent but 3 since Ancient Rome.Europe, North America and South America also so I'd say it's pretty evil. And yes fear keeps them in a religion. The Fear of hell but this doesn't make them good people. Though on that concept it's taught to them that their religion makes them good people. Perfect brainwashing I guess. Teach to fear it teach to obey it and teach it that's it in the right. in terms Blind Faith. LoL.

Shadow Moon • 1 year ago

well, its not like this is exclusive to Christians or even religion for that matter, any organization that gets too big & has too much sway over things tends to get corrupt.
the us government tends to be a good example of 2 different types of it at once... the right tends to be more well known for being corrupt and bashed for it while the left side tries to act like they're not while trying to get more & more control over the people

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

Shadow, You make a very valid point, one I tried to bring up myself in an earlier comment.

I included a section of your above comment in a supporting argument I posted to Vincent's comment above and I wanted to let you know this so that if you disagreed with the way I included your comment you could review what I said and distance yourself from it if you felt I represented your statement incorrectly. Just a heads up.

Addendum:
NVM Shadow, the comment I wrote was too long apparently and keeps getting marked as spam, so you can ignore this message since I ended up writing a much shorter comment, if I get a chance I'll rewrite the other comment and let you know when I post it.

Actually no it's not but your asking why the hate over Christianity which there is lots and it's history is the biggest reason. It's never had a positive history to give it credit to be any good. In terms just over a century ago people here were doing many things they hate from the Muslims including covering women head to toe. Like I said previously organized religions often aren't positive and that expansion of Christianity wasn't positive either. The US government very much takes from it's Roman roots right down to colonialism genocide and Christian religion as an excuse to do so. The US is often compared to a modern day Rome. Also I'm hearing this left and right side crap again. Stupid people go after a party for the reason their left or right because they know nothing about politics. The proper way is to research your party and see what they offer and if they're generally providing in your interest. Unfortunately that's where you got the issue where people repeat the same party that failed them over and over again and go for the party their parents went for. LoL. Maybe at one point that party offered better. Could've been in their grandparents generation. In terms that doesn't mean they necessarily stayed a good party and that there isn't better. Hence why people looked for a change because they tired of a declining government.

Check your history. While the pilgrims were Christian, they were not Catholics which is the faith that came from Rome. It's why they fled from Holland after they left England while there was a truce in the war with Spain which was mainly Catholic at the time.

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

`
Catholics are also Christians and while you don't like to realize it mainly it was Catholics. Irish settlers tended to arrive later on so Anglican were a lot less and they also didn't like the original sect warred with them. The French and English were very dominant. Some Christian sects like Evangelical are actually also pretty new starting in the 18th century so even less religions. The Mormons developed in in the 1800's as well. Even Christians broke apart because they couldn't stomach their own views. In regards all Christian faiths start from the same place. That is Rome. That religion just passed on with their descendants who split across mostly Europe and continued to conquer and colonize to nearly modern day. In terms if these religions stuck to their original locations they probably wouldn't be as bad but they attempted to take land and conquer the world with their own belief just like Rome where they originate from. Actually Britain at one point controlled 90% of The world which are pretty much many of the descendants that invaded North America. It's just another example of Roman roots. The ultimate villains of the world. LoL. You know even Hitler used Christian views for conquer even though he was anti-semetic. Still killed less then the North American settlers. Hitler kills 10 million and conquers 11 nations. North American settlers in the American Holocaust commit actual genocide leaving 2% left of the Indigenous people using Christian faith as a motivator killing at minimum 130 million people and litterally devastated even climate changes in the process. This is even in the wikipedia. lol. In terms not much different then their ancestors the Romans who developed the religion and conquered and murdered just the same. It's also the worst genocide in the world and inspired by you guessed it. Christianity.

Necrotenki Wongwat • 1 year ago

the thing that killed most native americans north and south was one or more epicdemic and the killing by humans hand was two sided for varius reason
And if you want to talk about big bad religion then Islam may be better for the modern time I don't need to talk about what the extreminst have done for the last 30 years but if we go back a little over hundred years ago nearly all Islamic countrys in the world they were at the time one of the biggest slavers in the world along with most African countrys they the Muslims,Arab and Africans was the most against the ban on slavery some African countrys still legallize slavery

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Actuually the thing that killed most was the idea of Manifest Destiny The American Holocaust and the idea expansion to take over for "civilization" and the result was genocide. They definitely didn't treat the natives as people and they used religion and being able to write even as excuses. It was my field of study to be fair and why I'm able to relate real history. So there's no excuse that can try to throw that information under a bus. Though so many people try to throw that settlers wronged and still wronged and had no right to do what they did. LoL. However that is just the truth of it. Our really dark history of creating the worst genocide in the world.

guys this is an anime comment section not a college levek debate club chill out 😭

It's a comment section not the police section. Think you need to go the station for that. This isn't the place. lol.

Catholicism is a branch of Christianity. Christianity did start in Italy but it branched out. The English branch is Angelican. The Pligrims were Puritan Calvinist. While all branches of Christianity, there are different beliefs and structures in each part. To say that it's all Christianity is naïve. Also, wiki is not a valid source because it can be edited by anyone with our without resources. You are going on about your education but you are only proving how twisted your own views are of the religion. I'm not here to try and change your mind because I know that will never happen, however you should stop making hate speech towards a group a people that you know little to nothing about, just what you were "taught" in school. Like I said before, I do encourage you to do your own real research and use scholarly journals, not wikipedia.

Never trust a man wearing a skirt!

Meroko Yui • 2 months ago

Skirts aren't the problem. Christians are and arrogant white supremacists and bigots. We can go oh but anyone can. That's deflection from what is reality. Ya ya. Reality is this group is large and do not see anywhere near the amount of issues as those they attack. Also they do attack and cover it up or put excuses to justify it when it's never justifiable. Never trust a group that's gotten to big and powerful to have morals and refuse to make amends. Big bad evil might as well be the group that causes the problem not the victims. No human being who preys on the vulnerable which is including vulnerable minorities are decent people.

So I'll never say something stupid like "Never trust a man wearing a skirt!" I'm better then that. i'd nnevver trust a persoon who says that with anything at all.

LowJack187 • 2 months ago

Your slip is showing.

Meroko Yui • 2 months ago

You're immaturity and lack of intelligence is showing. Also ya I got skirts and dresses and my username is that of a girl from an anime. lmao.

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

Hold up! I'm not going to delve into Metaphysics, but the belief of
"purgatorial"dimensions and the underworld etc... have been part of
cultures FARRRR older than Christianity. As far as we can tell, this
type of mythos in various forms dates back beyond written record. That
being said, Mystics, Prophets, Holy Men, Shamen, and all manner of
various Seers, "Adepts", or "World walkers", have spoken upon the
veracity of dimensions and places the souls of the dead go and not all
of them are fun. Forget Christian Hell, you have your pick of them. It
wasn't a concept "invented" by the RC Church. That doesn't mean they
didn't add their own flavor to it, but places like it are not their
original creation.

Ruvion • 1 year ago

Yet they only choose the "church" because any other form of religion would be bigoted antiwhatever. Even though history shows that other religions are even worse in their practices and carry on to this very day.

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Anyways sorry for the long history lesson just my field of expertise and interest in my field. Also kind of just the truth of the history and the matter why it gets treated like it does. It's not that there aren't good Christians it's that there is a lot of bad history and still even a lot of modern issues due to it. Also it's really hard to make a short version of a very long history like that and cover a lot of key points that matter.

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Also I have to laugh that my whole comment got listed as spam when hey it got questioned why Christianity always gets treated so evil. So i gave university level history lesson which gets taught in schools and I had the chance to partake in and decided to explain it's history and why it is actually evil. I assume there was some people not so happy but hey it's just the truth. But hey that something people don't handle. LoL. Also have to call the mod who classified it as spam a total idiot.

in this church is good they will recognize him as god and give him a staff which normal people can't lift

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

I seriously hope you're right, that's totally unexpected and would actually go a long way in redeeming my respect for this anime's creativity. It's still not the "newest" possibility, but it's a heck of a lot more creative than where everyone thought they were going with this! Thank You! I'm actually looking forward to watching this again! You rock!

Soulmack • 1 year ago

I know because I read the manga to some extent

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

Good deal! Thanks! This is one time I appreciate spoilers. XD

dre • 1 year ago

His spoiler is correct. Your view of the tropes though... lets be honest. Everything in life is just a mashup and reordering of the same old things. You could probably go back in time 5000 years ago and look at whatever they have for stories/fables/lore/legends and it'll be the same stuff. Time moves on and technology improves, but people are just people. The cleverness is leading the viewer by the nose to expect something that isn't going to happen or making them think that they know or understand something that isn't correct which allows for a "twist". 6th sense did a great job of that. Everything else tries to do the same with varying results.

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

Hi Dre, I appreciate your input, since you wrote two comments in reply to my own, I answered both of them down below in your second comment, so I refer you to my answer for both of them located that comment. :)

kt • 1 year ago

Yeah, it's a spoiler but if it makes people actually looking forward to the show, it's a win-win i guess

Kirito • 1 year ago

I ain't gonna read that to spoil myself

Soulmack • 1 year ago

That's why i used spoiler tag

dra6o0n • 1 year ago

Basically, they recognize the crest that is on Farma's arm as the medicine god's symbol, which means the boy is the 'avatar' of their god.

Soulmack • 1 year ago

yes

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

That actually sounds great for the fact it doesn't go down the same story you always hear. Though i guess this anime doesn't truly strike me as going for major conflicts either so it's also a let down too.

AnimeVibesYT • 1 year ago

And here I was fully expecting him to erase those church guys out of existence, hmmph 🙄
